Foospiration July 29th

Thought:

"There is nothing with which every man is so afraid as getting to know how enormously much he is capable of doing and becoming." - Soren Kierkegaard

Recipe:

Brownies

2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
2 tsp pure vanilla
4 eggs, room temperature
2/3 cup unsweetened special dark cocoa
1 cup white or unbleached flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup pecans, chopped or in chunks
1 cup milk chocolate chips
Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Very lightly butter a 13 X 9 pan. Melt butter and place in mixing bowl. By hand, cream sugar into melted butter. Add vanilla and eggs and mix well. Add dry ingredients (flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda) and mix well, then add pecans and milk chocolate chips. Fold ingredients together and put into baking pan. Use a spatula or spoon to spread thick mixture in pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool a bit before you try to cut them up.
